The 2008 Holiday Season

We have enjoyed the 2008 Holiday Season including Christmas and hope that all of you have also. We were in Orange for Halloween and Thanksgiving and traveling in the California central valley the week of Christmas. We spent two days in snow covered Sequoia before spending Christmas eve in Visalia with Kathy, Roy and the boys. Marianne made a chocolate Christmas log cake (Buche De Noel) on Christmas day to share with everyone, which she learned how to make through Relief Society.

We then spent a couple of relaxing days with Phyllis and Greg's family (Steve's sister) near San Jose. Marianne bought a set of bread pans so that she can bake a bigger batch of bread. Below we first show Halloween and Thanksgiving pictures, then we show our initial pictures leading to the Christmas Holiday. Hunter is about 7 months old now.

Our Central Valley trip begins.

Bear Lake Fall and the Hunt

Marianne had micro back surgery and her leg pain is going away. Hunter is five months old and beginning to eat rice cereal and pureed vegetables and fruits. We may wait a year or two to sell our home based on the health of the economy.

We enjoyed our Fall vacation to Laketown. Becky had a great idea to get us all together to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday and we will always remember it. It was great to see everyone. I had fun creating my first embroidered gift for my mother.

During our vacation we toured the conference center and ate lunch at the Lions House. No deer were brought home during the hunt, but Steve enjoyed the several hikes through the beautiful countryside and camping. We were thankful for the good weather during our vacation and the brilliant fall colors.

We visited Steve's last living aunt in Idaho Falls and Marianne's college friend Stacy in Boise. Grandma Wilson's station house in Lewiston now has a car size metal mosquito on the garage. We had fun shopping in Logan and visiting the cheese factory. We got to visit Fred and Sara's kingdom with the throne and all. We also got to visit Steve's niece Jennifer's family in Logan.

Steve's sister Joan came with us on our vacation and took home fond memories of Bear Lake. On the way up and back we visited Steve's Brother in Cedar City.
