Grand Canyon Vacation

We enjoyed Memorial Day weekend at the Grand Canyon South Rim with a rented trailer. Becky's family joined us there on Friday night. We had great food. We were packed in like sardines in the trailer but enjoyed each others company. It drizzled some of the time and clouds in the canyon did not move out until the afternoon. The children had fun playing tag in a rock lined trail and adding to it. Elk were browsing on trees in the trailer park. We visited several of the beautiful south rim viewing areas. We got to visit a LDS Branch in the park on Sunday.

Thursday night we were locked out of the trailer upon our late night arrival in the rain, so we slept in the suburban. We were not provided with a key for the second door lock. The next morning we were advised to go in through a window so that we could continue our vacation as planned.

The picture of the blooming evergreen bush has round green buds which do not open for plants I have seen in residential areas in California, but they do blossom into flowers at the South Rim.

May 2009 was busy

May 2009 began with Mother's Day and then Marianne's Birthday. Charles family visited California late in the month to also attend Daniel's Open House. We opened and closed escrow on selling our Lindenholz home during the month of May.

Road Trip to Visalia

Hunter and I had a recent visit with Kathy during her last week of on-line classes for her teaching credential renewal. I saw Noah play T-ball. Lincoln was excited for Hunter to watch him play at one of his 2 hour baseball practices. We celebrated Kathy’s accomplishment by going to Mimi’s CafĂ©.

After visiting Kathy I was planning to go to a wedding in Oregon for Steve’s nephew but plans fell through at the last minute. I was tired of life in the fast lane with Kathy and was glad to come home and give Steve a hair cut.
